The Baron at Betty’s, and Beyond…
26 December, 2005 Temperature: 33 degrees F
`Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the town
Hardy souls were out riding their motorbikes around
The skies were quite cloudy, there was a chill in the air
But we rode like children, without a worry or care
Through downtown Minneapolis, and on into Saint Paul
On roads free of ice, with no traffic at all
We stopped once for coffee, at Betty’s Bikes and Buns
Then we jumped back on our bikes, to have some more fun
There was Mark on his Transalp, and me on the Baron
We raced through the `Cities, with much skill and darin’
Too soon it was over, we both had to go home
Back to our wives and children, who miss us when we roam
But we promised each other, as we parted ways
That we would do this again, one of these fine winter days
So now I’m back home, with my girls by my side
Seasons Greetings to All, and to All a Good Ride!

Rode to work today in Duluth Minnesota. The high is supposed to be 33F. It’s been so warm that our snow is going away.
If I had a beater bike I could ride more often. My Honda Hawk is too nice to get it rusty and pitted. But when the roads are dry and clear I can sneak in a ride.
Keep up the good work.

Hey Randy,
If you had a scooter, you could ride to work more often. The plastic bodywork on the Baron protects much of the metal from corrosion, and of course it won’t rust either. I will soon be looking into a product called “Boeshield”, that one of my readers recommended. I will let you all know how that works.
Thanks Kurt. Same to you and yours…
Ride well,
