Ah-riding. We know it’s a great way to unwind after a hectic work day. But who says you can’t combine a little pleasure with work? Isn’t that what the “Live to Ride, Ride to Live” credo is all about? Some of you already know the key to getting your daily Harley fix involves one simple activity: commuting on your motorcycle.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of Ride to Work Day, a program to raise awareness and a positive image of motorcycling. By riding your motorcycle to work on July 18 (and any other day of the year for that matter), you can send the following messages to the general public and politicians:

  • There are a large number of motorcycle riders
  • Motorcyclists are from all occupations and walks of life
  • Motorcycles can reduce traffic and congestion in large cities
  • Motorcycles are for transportation as well as recreation

Endorsed by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), Ride to Work is an independent advocacy program that is supported entirely by private donations and contributions. Ride to Work is not sponsored by Harley Davidson or Harley Owners Group, however we think this is a great event.

If the anticipation of spending the weekend or vacation in the saddle has been your incentive to getting through the work week, wouldn’t it be great to wake up each morning and knowing a great ride was in store? And with gasoline prices so high these days, riding to work is good for the pocketbook.

Keep the rubber on the road!
